Under this stage, your office will go through specific steps
to make development projects compliant with the Results Management
Guide. The objective of this stage is to improve the effective quality
monitoring of these projects through the proper definition of Outputs
and Activities and the introduction of management tools. More specifically,
these steps will consist of the following:
- Conduct a portfolio analysis to determine which development
projects should comply with the RMG and in which order of priority
- Once this analysis is completed, selected projects should comply
through:
- The Definition of project Outputs and Activities, which
may imply a re-structuring of these projects
- Reflection of these definitions in Atlas, using the Project
Management module.
- Initiation of logs for risks and issues in Atlas to record,
anticipate and manage issues and risks that may impact the
implementation of projects
- Completion and approval of 2006 Annual work plans (AWP)
- Completion of the Monitoring and Communication Plan
- The introduction of a Project Organization Structure as
defined in the RMG.
On-going projects will present a specific challenge as they will
need to go through a "conversion" process. Making these
projects compliant with the RMG shall be seen as an opportunity
to review the alignment of outputs, the monitoring framework as
well as roles and responsibilities.
The stage shall be coordinated by the CEDAR Project Manager, but
will require the active participation of all programme staff directly
involved in the management of these projects.
